Spring Cleaning Checklist Bathroom Spotlight
Here we have it, our final checklist of the series. You can download and print the complete #KEEPITKEPT Spring Cleaning Checklist here.
Now, let's have some fun in the bathroom, shall we?
☐ DRAINS – Fix slow-moving drains with a baking soda and vinegar bomb; pour a ½ cup of baking soda in the drain following by 1 cup of white vinegar. Allow fizzing to slow, then flush with hot water.
☐ SHOWER/TUB – Use an old dry toothbrush to sweep debris from door track, then vacuum. To clean mineral deposits on showerhead, place a plastic bag of vinegar over showerhead, secure with a rubber band and allow to soak overnight. Use a magic eraser type sponge to clean glass doors and walls; remove and wash shower curtain and liner. To clean grout, mix 4 scoops of Oxi-Clean Stain Remover with one gallon of warm water. Allow to sit on grout for 5 to 30 minutes (but don’t allow it to dry), scrub with an old toothbrush or special grout brush and rinse thoroughly.
☐ SINK, SURROUND + COUNTERTOP – Wipe the sink surround and countertop with a damp* microfiber cloth; spray sink directly with an all-purpose cleaner.
☐ CABINET DOORS – Clean the front of your kitchen cabinets using a wood cleaner or all-purpose cleaner, wiping in the direction of the grain; pay special attention to the area around door pulls.
☐ CABINETS + DRAWERS – Remove everything, vacuum interior, then put back only what you use.
☐ TOILET – Bust out those cleaning gloves, remove seat cover hinges and clean underneath; use an old toothbrush dipped in all-purpose cleaner to clean around edges of base. Clean the walls on either side of and behind the toilet using a damp* microfiber cloth; don’t spray walls directly. Then clean toilet bowl and exterior as usual.
☐ FAUCET AERATORS – Remove aerator by twisting counter-clockwise, then soak in vinegar for at least 15 minutes. Gently brush all parts with an old toothbrush to remove any residue, put parts back together and screw back on.
